A double-double is when a player records double digit stats in two of the following categories - points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. The NBA does not officially recognize double-doubles (but does list the stat on its official website) and many fans normally do not pay that much attention to double-doubles. But this season many have because of Kevin Love(notes). 要不是因為 Love，球迷根本就不關心雙十啦。 Playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season Love has gotten a lot of attention because he recorded a double-double in 53 straight games. That is the longest streak of double-doubles by a player in the NBA since the 1973-74 season. Love 的連續 D-D 紀錄是自從 73-74 球季以來最長的。 Normally I don't pay that much attention to double-doubles either but one of the players on my favorite team the New Jersey Nets posted 10 double-doubles in a row in March and has 29 on the season. The player is Kris Humphries(notes) who is big fan favorite not only for his play but because he dates Kim Kardashian. It is a lot of fun seeing her at the Rock (Prudential Center) in Newark where the Nets currently play. Kevin Love - 64 double-doubles Love's streak of 53 consecutive double-double games was the longest in the NBA since 1973-74 when Elvin Hayes had 55 consecutive double-doubles. The all-time longest streak for double-doubles is 227 games which Wilt Chamberlain accomplished from December 11, 1964 to November 17, 1967. Wilt averaged 30.1 points and 22.9 rebounds per game for his entire career. Howard will almost certainly have the most double-double games this season since Love is sidelined with an injury. In 2012 Howard will become the most sought after free-agent in the NBA since LeBron James. Howard 目前跟 Love 在雙十場數上競爭激烈，不過因為 Love 帶傷在身，Howard 應該是會搶下本季的 DD 王。 2012 年即將成為 FA 的 Howard 不意外的話將會成為 James 之後最熱門的 FA。 3. Blake Griffin(notes) - 60 Blake Griffin is having a great season averaging 22.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per game in what is considered his rookie season since he missed all last year with a leg injury. Zach Randolph(notes) - 52 Playing for the Memphis Grizzlies 29 year old Zach Randolph is averaging 20.0 points and 12.2 rebounds per game this season and has 52 double-doubles so far. Steve Nash(notes) - 41 Steve Nash is the first player on the list who gets his double-doubles from points and assists rather than points and rebounds. For awhile this season Rajon Rondo(notes) of the Boston Celtics was ahead of Nash in assists per game but now Nash has the lead. The two are not separated by much though. Al Horford(notes) - 35 Al Horford is averaging 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season with the Atlanta Hawks and was an all-star for the 2nd consecutive year. Al Jefferson(notes) - 35 Playing for the Utah Jazz which is his 3rd NBA team in 7 seasons, Al Jefferson is averaging 18.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game and has 35 double-doubles this season. Al Jefferson 七年內換了三隊唷。 T-7. David Lee(notes) - 35 After the New York Knicks drafted him with the 30th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft David Lee spent the next 5 years developing into a pretty good player. His stats improved every season with the Knicks and he averaged 20.2 points and 11.7 rebounds per game last year. The Knicks traded him to the Golden State Warriors last summer for basically nothing because they didn't want to pay him and Lee is averaging 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this season. Deron Williams - 34 Last night (4-5-2011) Deron Williams tied his career high with 21 assists and made the last shot of the game to give my Nets a 107-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Williams also scored 18 points to give him his 34th double-double this season. That might be all he gets though this season as a wrist injury might sideline him for the last few games of the year (along with Kris Humphries who is also probably done for the year with an injury).
