"I'm not going to let somebody spit at me. He knew he did wrong because he took off running." Hill表示：他說了些難聽的話，還向我吐口水。我不會讓任何人朝我吐口水，他也知道自己錯了，所以拔腿就跑。 Suns forward Vince Carter said he knew it was serious when the normally calm Hill, known as one of the class acts of the NBA, went after the fan. 同為隊友的Vince Carter說道，當他知道Hill將近失控的時候，他就了解事情的嚴重性。 "I just saw the anger in his face," Carter said. "When you see Grant like that, you know something's up. Grant doesn't say anything to anybody. He competes and does his job."
