OKLAHOMA CITY -- Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle's plan was to work point
guard Jamaal Tinsley back into the rotation slowly.

As he's done so frequently in the past two seasons, Carlisle has to change
those plans.

Fred Jones' torn ligament in his left thumb, which will keep him out the
lineup indefinitely, will hasten Tinsley's transition back into the lineup.

Tinsley has totaled 13 points, four assists and two turnovers in 27 minutes
in two games since he returned from his right elbow injury, which kept him
out for 15 straight games.

"I thought he played well in the Houston game and he did some good things in
the New York game," Carlisle said. "He's going to be an important guy for us

Tinsley will continue to come off the bench, but he likely will play more
than expected because Sarunas Jasikevicius will play some as Stephen

A lack of practice time is forcing Tinsley to get into shape during games.
Because of the frequency of games, the Pacers might not have a full-scale
practice until late next week. Carlisle said the key with Tinsley will be not
playing long stretches. The Pacers think Tinsley re-injured his elbow in
January because he returned too soon.
練習時間不足逼得 Tinsley 在實戰中找回球感。由於賽程緊密，溜馬必須等到下
周才能進行完整規模的練習。 Carlisle 說關鍵是讓 Tinsley 避開過長的上場時

"He'll gradually get back to where he needs to be as long as he doesn't get
major doses of minutes," Carlisle said. "It would be great to have more
practice time, but he's been in this situation before and he's familiar with
it."

〔Injury update〕
Carlisle said rookie Danny Granger (flu) is feeling better, but Carlisle
won't know his status for tonight's game against the Hornets until later
today.
Carlisle 說 Danny Granger 的感冒已經好多了，但他今天才能確定 Granger
是否能夠上場。
Forward Austin Croshere, out since Jan. 31 with a concussion, has been
cleared to go through full contact workouts. It's still uncertain when he
will return.

正常強度的練習。不過歸隊的時間仍不確定。
〔Defense slipping〕
After holding seven of nine opponents to fewer than 90 points, the Pacers
have allowed at least 91 points in seven consecutive games, including 100 or
more in the past two.
在讓９位對手中的７位攻下最高９０分後，溜馬已經連續讓７位對手得分過
９１分，最近兩場甚至都超過１００分。
Largely because of center Yao Ming, the Rockets shot 53 percent against the
Pacers on Wednesday. Yao went 14-of-21 from the field and finished with 38
points.
主因還是姚明，周三火箭隊命中率達５３％，姚明投２１中１４，拿下３８分。
"Yao has been playing great for a long stretch," Carlisle said. "I thought
our guys battled him and did a good job in a lot of areas, but we could have
done better as a team. You give up 38, that's a lot."
Carlisle 說：「姚明一直以來都打得很好。我們的球員正面迎戰而且有很多地方
確實做得不錯，但是我們全隊應該可以打得更好。你讓對手一人拿了３８分，那
可是不少分數。」
