Job Description
Work with Engineering & Product Marketing teams to identify, select, and engag
e with suppliers to ensure market and cost competitiveness for NPI projects.
Send out RFQ to ODMs/suppliers. Collaboratively with the team, make the ODM/su
pplier selection for a new project.
Implement supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time deliver
y, and cost competitiveness.
Support the planning, design and operational activities; work closely with Pro
duct Line Manager & Engineering Teams as well as internal Finance and Legal De
partments.
Responsible for strategic supplier relationships that achieve cost –effective
procurement decisions and overall business plan objectives.
Lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms, pricing a
nd performance management.
Responsible for cost-negotiation and supplier-management from pre-NPI, Mass-Pr
oduction, and all the way to EOL, for any particular product.
Requirements & Qualifications
Excellent written & verbal communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills
.
Understanding of market trends, supply chain management, accounting, and busin
ess operations.
Excellent excel and math skills.
Exceptional negotiation experiences, knowledge of standard procurement practic
es, knowledge of contracts, diplomacy, and strong ability to lead cross-functi
onal project teams.
Ability to work in as fast – paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult price nego
tiations, exceptionally tight deadlines, and expectations.
Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evo
lving business needs.
Decision-Making: Must be able to assimilate the information gathered by yourse
lf and others (internal & external) to make decisions.
5 + years industry experience encompassing purchasing, project management and
supplier management.
BS/BA degree plus 5-10 years experience or equivalent
