An International IRON ORE Mining Company is looking for one to two chemical
analyst to station OVERSEA
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, or assist with setting up, lab equipment; oversee calibration and
maintenance of laboratory equipment; perform laboratory tests according to
CIQ or SGS Standard
- Operating Procedures; assist with coordinating laboratory work schedules
and backlogs.
Specific responsibilities
- Assist with or perform basic chemical analytical tests using well-defined
standards and procedures as described by SGS or CIQ standard operating
procedures and/or industry standard methods.
- To be able to test below element from iron ore
o Fe
o FeO
o SiO2
o Al2O3
o S
o P
- Coordinate or perform field sampling, track sample inventories and sampling
equipment.
- Coordinate with patio staff to ensure delivered iron ore are according to
target quality
Profile
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, chemistry or the physical
sciences is preferred.
- Should have a minimum of three (4) years, or more, of direct experience in
a chemical testing lab.
- Experience with iron ore testing methods and analyses is required.
- Experience and/or direct knowledge in collecting, transferring and
transporting iron ore samples is required
- Good written and oral communication skills in English; required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Outlook) is
required.
Others
- To be able to work in Mexico for a minimum of 2 years
- To be able to drive a automatic or manual vehicle
