Amazon Ads Program - Tools, Framework and Test
Are you interested in problems of scale, fascinated by machine learning,
or do you love working with the latest mobile and tablet devices? We're
looking for extremely customer-focused developers to work with a broad
range of technologies including machine learning, Flash and multimedia
content, mobile devices, tablets, Kindle, streaming video technologies,
Hadoop and Amazon Web Services. You will be given the chance to pioneer
new design and architectural choices which have a significant impact on our
systems, our business and most importantly, our customers.
We dive into performance and scalability. We use nondeterministic testing
strategies to analyze the quality of our machine learning algorithms.
We design and implement our own tools and test automation frameworks from
the ground up. If you are customer centric, creative, and deeply analytical,
this is the position for you!
We are looking for developers who will challenge themselves and others to
constantly come up with innovative solutions. We're looking for someone who
doesn't just know how to solve the problem, but who helps define the
problems and direction, creates value, and pioneers new frontiers.
This is an exciting, dynamic, and challenging position and we are looking
for people with initiative, drive, and useful experience in the industry
to fill them. The position requires a strong engineer with hands-on coding
experience in Java. C# and or C++. Expect to spend about 60% of your time
doing design and coding. The role also requires you to be able to analyze
and work with complex architectures. We expect the ideal candidate to work
both independently as well as in collaboration with others on our team as
well as with the development staff..
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years coding experience in Java, C# and/or C++
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working in software development
or quality organizations, developing tools and automated tests for web-based,
middleware or back-end components.Significant OO design and coding experience
is a must!
- Proven track record to creating and executing on highly effective quality
processes
- Experience driving end-to-end software quality, including design and
implementation of test frameworks, automated test creation and execution.
- Is innovative, can simplify, and has relentlessly high standards
- Can juggle testing of multiple releases with multiple dependencies
- Able to handle an extremely fast pace while maintaining the highest
quality standards
- Thinks big, has vision and is a vocal leader
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in computer science or related field with 6+ years of
relevant experience
- Is experienced with designing tools and frameworks
- Experience with performance and scalability testing, latency testing a plus
- Deep understanding of system architecture and experience with large
complex distributed transactional systems.
