Gilbert Arenas claims he’s never lost a shooting contest. Doesn’t matter who, doesn’t matter when — the self-proclaimed “best practice shooter in the world” does not lose. Turns out, that’s not entirely true. He admitted on Friday that he’s lost to one person: former Olympian and NBA first-teamer Chris Mullin, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Arenas said it happened back in his Golden State days early in the century, before “Hibachi” and “Agent Zero” and everything else. Now, no one beats him, he says. He easily defeated Jason Richardson last week. But Ryan Anderson sure came close on Thursday after practice. Shooting contest rules: Each player shoots five shots from both corners, both wings and the top of the key (just like the three-point shooting contest at the all-star game). Whoever makes the most out of 25 wins. Going into the final five, both players were 15-of-20, putting the pressure on. I’ll let the video take it from there.
