Orioles' Davis done for season?

First baseman Chris Davis(notes) has played only 10 games for the Baltimore
Orioles since coming over from the Texas Rangers along with pitcher Tommy
Hunter(notes) in exchange for reliever Koji Uehara(notes). In that time, he's
had 40 at-bats, 14 strikeouts, nine hits, five runs scored, three RBIs, and
one injury to his shoulder that may keep him out for the rest of the season.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Orioles president of baseball operations Andy
MacPhail said "Davis has a small tear in his right shoulder" and that he
"could miss the rest of the season."
Davis will visit famed orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum on Thursday to see if
there's anything special that can be done to speed recovery, the paper
reports.
The 25-year-old Texas native made his league debut with the Rangers in 2008.
