Nadal to Play One Masters Event Heading into US Open 原文 http://0rz.tw/Ahf7W Recent Wimbledon champ Rafael Nadal told the Times Online that he will only play one of the two ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events this summer. Nadal’s decision to only participate at one Masters event was taken in order to preserve the health of his knees. 'Nadal had made it plain that the US Open is his year’s prime target. He has never felt the sense of belonging at Flushing Meadows that he does in Majorca or southwest London; the hard courts are the worst for his joints and ligaments but he is going to give the event a damned good go. To that end, he has withdrawn from next week’s Davis Cup quarter-final against France to protect what he has and will play only one of the two Masters 1000 events that precede the US Open,” said the Times Online. It is not known at this time if Nadal will withdraw from the Toronto or Cincinnati event. The Spaniard has won the Canadian Open on two occasions, while posting two back-to-back semifinal appearances in Mason, Ohio Nadal’s final decision will likely come down to a question of either comfort over convenience. He’s had success at the Rogers Cup, meaning that his chances at winning the tournament and gaining confidence heading into New York are high. While Nadal has never won in Cincinnati, the tournament is a week closer to the US Open, which would allow for a better reflection of his form. More on this story as it develops. 簡單來講就是今年夏天的兩項大師賽豆豆可能只會擇一參加一切都是為了美網要放哪一個的有些難決定有利有弊加拿大因為曾經兩度奪冠打起來比較有信心但是離美網比較遠怕手感沒了辛辛那提超快速場地美網風向球離美網比較近容易保持手感但是要是打不順手提早出局在沒有太多熱身就打美網有風險一切就看豆豆如何決定了不過對照以前瘋狂參賽現在豆豆以及他的團隊會作取捨了由捨才有得啊!!!
