Rangers want to know where they stand with Lee soon, because if he isn't
returning to Texas, the AL champions need to make other moves and are
contemplating taking a run at trying to extract Zack Greinke from the Royals.
... The fact that Texas is making contingency plans regarding Lee not
returning is an indication to the rest of the industry that Lee is headed to
the Yankees, who believe the lefty will be signed during next week's Winter
Meetings in Orlando.
