In light of Hanley Ramirez's diva act in Florida, one that led to the Marlins shortstop being pulled from Monday's game and benched in Tuesday's 8-0 victory over Arizona, The Insider asked Mark Teixeira his impressions of the South Florida Fiasco. "I just think that everyone on the team, all 25 players, should play hard and respect the game," said Teixeira, who went 0-for-4 and scored a run Tuesday night. "Teammates respect each other when they play hard and play the right way. If you lose as a team and you played hard, everyone can accept that. But if you have a few guys who aren't giving it their all then you're not playing the game the right way." Ramirez was pulled from Monday's game when he inadvertently kicked a ball into the left field corner and then trotted after it as two runs scored. The play drew the ire of Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez and that of Ramirez's teammates, to whom Ramirez has refused to apologize. Asked if a situation like that could fester and help derail a team's season, especially considering Ramirez's All-Star status, Teixeira added, "The best players in the game get scrutinized more. I don't particularly know what's going on down there, but obviously it's not good.
