Objective: Siemens Commercial Apprenticeship Program Asia Pacific (CAPAP)

Introduction and contents of program:
To develop young and high potential talents for commercial management
function,Siemens in Asia Pacific region (including Indonesia, Vietnam,
Thailand, Bangladesh, Singapore and Taiwan) has implemented CAPAP since 2006.
This 9-month program offers an Asia Pacific wide, cross-group and
cross-functional networking platform, prepares well trained and motivated
young professionals for business administration function in the region.
Topics:
Block 1 – Corporate Departments (Accounting, Finance, Reporting Controlling
and Procurement.)
Block 2 – Commercial Sales/Offer Handling
Block 3 – Commercial Project Management/Order Handling
Schedule:
Theory Training – 3 blocks, each block around 3 weeks in 3 different
countries in the region.
Practical Work – 3 blocks, each block around 9 weeks in various divisions
and functions in Siemens Taiwan.
Extensive Business Impact Simulation and soft skill development – 1 week.
After each block of theory training, Apprentices will be assigned practical
work in various business units and functions in Siemens Taiwan.
Through practical work, Apprentices learn how to apply theories into
daily business activities to achieve efficient productivity and excellent
performance.

Period of program: 9 months starting from September 2008.
Qualifications:
1. University graduated or above, major in commercial and business
related departments.Graduating students or graduates with less than 2 years
of working experience are welcome. Male applicants must be discharged
from military service.
2. Good command in English, reading, writing and comprehension. Good
communication skills. With global perspective.
3. Positive, assertive, confident, broad-minded and quick in response.
Training package:
Monthly training allowance, plus daily allowance while taking theory
training overseas. Labor and National Health Insurance provided.
Upon successful completion of the program, a certificate will be granted,
and the apprentices will become Siemens permanent employees,
subject to a 2-year employment bond.
