Summer Intern in 2013
Established in 1980, Societe Generale Taipei Branch has been active in
corporate and investment banking activities and become one of the key players
in a wide range of financial market activities. With SG’s global structured
product capability, SG Taipei branch has been well recognized by the market
as a leader of provider of innovative financial products. In Taiwan market,
SG offers extensive financial products for both of investments and hedging
and major clients include large financial institutions and corporate
customers. Besides, SG Taipei is active in local currency foreign exchange,
government bond and interest rate trading and recognized as major market
player in TWD interest rate swap and cross currency swap.
Taiwan is one of SG’s key target markets in emerging Asia. Supported by
groups’ strong structuring capability, SG Taipei branch aims to develop its
structured products and flow products businesses to major clients to further
expand SG’s market share. In structured product area, SG is able to offer
various underlying instruments in fixed income, foreign change, commodity,
credit and fund linked products whereas in flow products field, SG provides
vanilla options, spot, foreign exchange swap and interest rate swap. Both of
structured and flow products are considered very competitive. While Taiwan
market is growing, the demands for both of hedging and investment are
increasing. With the excellent product capability and solid establishment, SG
Taipei expects to further grow its businesses and maintain its competitive
edge in this market.
You will contribute to the development of financial market businesses with
our sales and trading teams. We are looking for undergraduates with
Finance/IT skills and fluency in English. Previous internship experience in
derivatives or programming would be an advantage.
