What have I learned from Spring Convention

It's my first time to participate in a nation-wide Convention in ToastMaster, and I have learned a lot from this experience. There are many advantages of joinging ToastMaster, some people might think "I can make friends with a lot of people"、"I would be courageous to speak in public" or "I will learn the skill of leadership". However, for me, the best part of joining ToastMaster is that I can communicate with other people in English and get some wisdom from those excellent speakers when they delivering their speech. So, I want to share with you what I have learned form Spring Convention. Definitely, except listening English for a long time, I heard many useful philosophies of those best speaker, such as "we should focus on real badge rather than a certificate" and "if you want to be A+, you need to think of other people's feeling. Try to be helpful, don't always think about self-benefit". However, two sayings told by a host and David Brooks are most impressive ones to me. After table topic contest was over, the host (a English teacher) said "wow, those contestants are so great. After hearding their sayings, I think humble is what I cannot forget." In my opinion, humble is specially important for us, NTU students. Always think that we should be more diligent to make progess, and then we would not satisfy at present, avoid becoming arrogent at same time. The other I've learned is "I have debt to pay for." form David Brooks. In our green day, there is no doubt we would make stupid mistakes. But ond day, when we are more mature, we should do something to make up for those mistakes, although some might be unrepairable. But we still are supposed to keep paying, like what David brooks has done, to teach people how to speech well. Because I think in this way, while us adjusting our behavior to being better, we can make the world better. Joinging Spring Convention is really a good experience, so I sincerely suggest who haven't attend this Conventon before to join next time. Finally, I think everybody are exhausted, especially the ambassadors and who has responsibility.
