"The Motivation" Oh heck! My English sucks, and I am deeply regretting! As I got acquainted with a young lady, a really charming girl but… speaking a lot of "English," I really got to know the importance of English. The above is not just my own feeling. Recently, the hottest news is that our glory Jay casts as Kato in "The Green Hornet" - it's so proud; but, however, when he met Cameron Diaz(卡麥蓉狄亞), he was also regretting because of his "fluent" English! "English is so important," no matter when you are picking up girls /boys, communicating with foreigners, or even reading original textbooks, etc. Besides, of course, if you want to get an ideal job, you had better to improve your English, i.e. the better your English is, the higher the pay is (probably?). "The Purpose" We hope to reach a consensus that to build up an English-learning environme- nt and try to urge the students in ECE to speak English bravely and confidently. Furthermore, we also hope that the college students can be more familiar with the daily English (or "survival English") in order to travel or live easily in an English-speaking country. "The Method" We aim to launch a meaningful campaign to improve our English - that is "Eng- lish Day." "English Day" is on Wednesdays, and the participants have to speak in English on that day. When the English day comes, the participants should use English to communicate (including MSN, text message) with the others. If you have difficulty expressing yourself in English, it is advised that you can take notes of what you don't know and the best way is looking them up in dictionaries . ※The activity kicks off on March 2nd, 2011(2011/03/02) Finally, the most important of all, we hope to see all of you speaking English on our "English Day," and make the day become a tradition of ECE.
