The International Atomic Energy Agency,
Recognizing nuclear energy as a constructive approach to replace fossil fuel
and is able to effectively hinder greenhouse gas emission and global warming,
Affirming that nuclear energy, compared with renewable energy such as solar
power or bio-energy, is the relatively feasible and economical means to curb
global warming,
Seeking balance between economic growth and environment protection, which ha
disputed over the matter whether the former necessarily jeopardize the latter,
Expressing its huge confidence on the sustainability of nuclear power,
1.Accepts the use of nuclear energy under certain limitations and regulations;
2.Urges to form a committee which aims to develop a set of comprehensive laws
supervising the processing of nuclear waste;
3.Calls upon every member states to establish a body supervising the
sustainability of nuclear power and relative environmental issues;
4.Urges to employ nuclear energy as a short-term solution while deploying
manpower and resources on developing renewable energy as a long term solution;
5.Affirms that nuclear energy should only be utilized for civil purposes;
6.Considers sending experts and granting technical support to the countries
incapable of establishing nuclear power facilities under the structure of
peaceful and sustainable development;
7.Remains seized of the matter.
