[有機] Midterm6 Point Distribution
Hello everyone,
The corresponding benzyne for pyridines do exist, called pyridynes or
dehydropyridines. However, pyridynes are formed as intermediates when
reacting 3-halopyridines with base/nucleophile. Reacting 2-halopyridnes or
4-halopyridines with base/nucleophile gives substitution products formed
through nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr). A reference has been
placed on ceiba that discusses pyridynes (Angew Chem Int Ed Engl 1965, 4,
543).
There will be 110 points total on Midterm6 tomorrow (6/16/2011) at 10:20 am.
One can get a maximum of 105 points; 5 extra points for a rainy day. The
point distribution is as follows:
Name and Student Number (2 points)
Ranking (4 points)
Structure Drawing (20 points)
Reactants (4 points)
Reaction products (36 points)
Reagents (8 points)
Reaction mechanisms (36 points)
There will be seat assignments. Please only use non-erasable pens for
answering the questions. Please remember to bring your student ID.
Good luck on the exam,
Richard Cheng
