1.What does the "A microscopic view of ohm's law " mean ?
2.Explain that how to measure the mass of proton ?
3.Give a brief description about "Hall effect" ?
4.How J.J Thomson reached the conclusion that he has discovered the "electron"

5.Explain what means by "magnetic bottle" or "magnetic mirror effect".
6.A closed path line integral of E˙dl is zero if the charge involved is at
rest. On the other hand,it is nonzero if the charge is in motion.

4.A metal bar of mass m,lenth l,and resistence R slides down a pair of fricti-
onless rail of negligible resistence inclined an angle θ to the horizontal. A
uniform magnetic field is directed vertically upward.
(a) What is the current induced in the rod when the rod is at terminal speed
(Assume that the railshave no r-esistence)
(b) What is the terminal speed of the rod ?
(c) Show that the rate at which thermal energy is being gererated in the rod
is equal to the rate at which the rod is losing gravitational potential energy
.
5.The wire in the figure carries a current i.
(a) Find the magnectic field at center C
(b) If the wire is placed in the uniform magnectic field B pointing out of
paper. Calculate the force acting on the wire.
