※ 引述《jms (New Year 2004)》之銘言:
: 非常要命的多...
: Man : I'd like to start by asking you some questions. I was wondering if you
: could tell me about your present job.
: Woman : Well, I've been working in an advertising department of the newspaper
: for the last three years. And I work on preparing copy for newspaper
: advertisement, so it's, sort of close to the job ?? advertising.
: 我寫 of your advertising
Man : Did you have a job before that or was this your first?
: Woman : No, that was my first job.
: Man : Ah, and, how do you like the job?
: Woman : Well, there are certain aspects of the job that are fine, but I really
: don't like the long hours there, and I find it necessary to come in on weekends.
: Not because I can't get the work done, but that's the way a newspaper works,
: you know. And looking at the employees there, there doesn't seem to be much
: chance of a…promotion. Eh, it's ???? now. The work itself is not too
:
challenging anymore, (and say), and one personal thing is um… I am in a small
: office with four other people, and they all smoke a lot and it bothers me
: tremendously. Actually it interferes with my work, but um...the actual work
: itself is fine, but it's the um…the working conditions that I am not too happy
: about.
: Man : So you're looking for change, then?
: Woman : Yah, something with more challenge.
: Man : How soon would you be going to leave your present position?
: Woman : Well, of course, I'd like to give notice. And I think it's ????
: 聽起來是customerly, 但是根本沒這個字
to give a (month) notice in the office, so um…let it be no problem.
: Man : OK, fine. Now, with regards to this specific position, could you tell me
: a little more about why you apply for this job?
: Woman : Well, Crown & Robert's the famous company. And I have a friend who
: works in an advertising agency doing similar kind of work, and he's told me a
: lot about the work. From what I've heard about Crown & (Roberts I gather) sort
: of place where if you do something original, and so on um…you'll recognize for.
: Man : Yes, I think that's true. And…what do you actually know about
: advertising and advertising agencies?
: Woman : Well, only what I've gained working at my present job. Um, certainly I
: studied advertising in college, so I have a good theoretical background on how
: advertising works. And I think I've been able to put my theoretical knowledge
: into practices while as my training on the job.
: Man : OK, you'll be going through a period of three-month training working
: coming
closely with the other team members. With this body??, do you like team work, or
: would this bother you?
do you prefer to work individually?
: Woman : I think I get on pretty well as part of a team. I can do both, actually.
: I wonder if I could ask you some questions about your promotion policies?
: Man : Sure. While you go through the training period for three months, and at
: the end of the three months, then we take a look at your records and the actual
: things to give done. And as mentioned in the ad, we are looking for someone
: with good writing skills and if that shows up then we'll take you on in a
: preeminent position. And after a period of one year, then your salary will be
: established, and you would have an increase in your salary.
: Woman : And what is the starting salary likely to be?
: Man : That would start around 1100 dollars a month.
: Woman : That's pretty good.
: Man : As soon as the training is finished, of course, it would go up to
: around 1,500 or 1,600 dollars.
: Woman : I see. Now, the job description says that you are looking for someone
: with good writing skills. Um, no previous experience is necessary. Well, I do
: have experience. Um, can you be a little bit specific about the kind of work
: I'd be expected to do if I got the job, that is?
: Man : OK, we're looking for someone who can basically be creative and take the
: ideas that the client may bring in and transfer those ideas, put them on the
: paper so that they can in turn be turned into advertisements for radio or
: television.
: Woman : Uh-huh.
: Man : In a creative and interesting way that we really catch the eyes and ears
: of the audience.
: Woman : It sounds really interesting. It's just the sort of thing I'm
: interested in.
: Man : OK. If there are no further questions, I am really glad to stop??, and we
: will be looking over the rest of the information that we have and let you know
: as soon as we make a decision.
: Woman : Wow, thank you very much for your time. Enough enjoy talking with you.
: And I hope to hear from you soon.
