[心得] Edgar Allan Poe
It's terrifying!
The narrator's tone was moody or violent by turn,
the scenes were of dreamlike color,
all were reeking with intangible fear and horror!
It sent shivers down my spine,
and tears to my eyes.
(no. I didn't cry, but came nearly to that point.)
I heard The Fall of the House of Usher
which, to tell the truth, had too many long words
to make it a good narration.
There wasn't enough strength and beat to affect the listener.
However, it is a very different case for The Masque of Red Death--
short, simple, and perhaps not a very good read,
but the rhythm of the words, the hypnotic voice of the narrator,
made it sound astoundingly horrifying!
If you are looking for a thrill,
I recommend that tape to you.
