6. In Fig1, small, nonconducting ball of masss m = 1.0 mg and charge
q = 2.0*10^-8 C (distributed uniformly through its volume) hangs from an
insulting thread that makes an angle θ = 30°with a vertical, uniformly
charged nonconducting sheet (shown in cross section). Considering the
gravitational force on the ball and assuming the sheet extends far vertically
and into and out of the page, caculate the surface charge density σ of the
sheet.(8%)
7. The smiling force of Fig.2 consists of three items:(1)a thin rod of charge
-3.0μC that forms a full circle of radius 6.0 cm;(2)a second thin rod of

an otherwise uniform electric field E0. Find the electric field in the

12.The potential at the surface of a sphere (radius R) is given by V0 = kcos3θ,
where k is a constant. Find the potential inside and outside the sphere, as
well as the surface charge density σ(θ) on the sphere.(Assume there's no
charge inside or outside the sphere.)(10%)
