Do the most difficult separation last. Favor direct sequence. (Remove the lightest component one by one) Remove the component with large fraction first. Prefer separation that gives 50-50 split. A company injected CO2 into an oil well in order to enhance oil recovery.The gas coming out of the reservoir had the following compositions (mole fraction): Component Composition H2S 0.6 CO2 90.5 Methane 5.5 Ethane(C2) 1.4 Heavies(C4+) 2.0 Note that CO2 and ethane formed an azeotrope. This azeotrope could be handled by adding heavy C4+ solvent.
