Find the pH of the following solutions. (Ka1=7.5*10^-3,Ka2=6.2*10^-8,Ka3=4.8*10^-13 for H3PO4) 10% (a) 50 mL of 0.20 M Na3PO4 and 50 mL of 0.20 M HCl. (b) 60 mL of 0.10 M H3PO4 and 40 mL of 0.32 M NaOH 4. A sample of FeSO4(s) was heated in an evacuated container to 1000℃, where the following reactions occurred. 10% 2FeSO4(s) ←→ Fe2O3(s) + SO3(s) + SO2(s) SO3(g) ←→ SO2(g) + 1/2 O2(g) After the equilibrium wea reached, the total pressure was 0.92 atm, and the partial pressure of O2 was 0.040 atm. (a) Find the partial pressures of SO3 and SO2. (b) Calculate Kp for the reaction: SO3(g) ←→ SO2(g) + 1/2 O2(g). 5. A solution is formed by mixing 50 mL of 5.0 M NaX with 50 mL 1.0*10^-3 M CuNO3. A 1.00 g sample of pure MCl2 is dissolved in water to give 100 mL MCl2 solution. A 25-mL MCl2 soluton reacts with an excess of AgNO3(aq) to yield 0.345 g of AgCl(s). Another 25-ml MCl2 solution requires 15.2 mL of AgNO3(aq) in a precipitation titration. (Ag=108, Cl=35.5) 10% (a) Write the balanced molecular equation for the reacton of MCl2 and AgNO3. (b) Find the molar mass of the element M? (c) Find the concentration of AgNO3(aq)? 7. The O2 produced in the decompositon of 49.0 g KClO3 (formula mass=122.5) is collected in a container of 0.5 L at 25℃. 10% (a) Write a balanced equation for the decomposition of KClO3 to form KCl and O2. (b) Calculate the pressure of O2 using the ideal gas equation. (c) Reapeat the calculation in (b) using the van der Waals equation. (a=1.36 L^2·atm·mol^-2, b=0.0218 L·mol^-1 forO2) 8. Answer the following questions. 20% (a) Define: (i) Bronsted-Lowry acids and bases, (ii) conjugate acid and base. (b) What is the realative collision frequency per m^3 of H2 and O2 at STP? Assume the diameter H2 and O2 molecules are 0.12 and 0.36 nm, respectively.
