使用者每答對一個英文單字，它們便會得到廣告收益（下方的廣告banner）
得以捐贈20粒米給聯合國拯救飢荒
試了一下，答完題後會告訴正確答案（同義字為何）
而且隨著猜中的題數增加，字的難度也會調高。 (畫面右方盤子上的米粒也會堆的愈滿)
系統的最高程度為55級，不過工作人員表示鮮少有人能達到48級。
當中有不少SAT, GRE, LSAT and GMAT 的考試用字。
官方的說法是這樣的測驗有以下的效果：
．Formulate your ideas better
．Read faster because you comprehend better
．Speak more precisely and persuasively
．Score higher on tests like the SAT, GRE, LSAT and GMAT
After you have done FreeRice for a couple of days, you may notice an odd

using and knowing more words.
