1. Use whatever method you learned from related readings to estimate the
optimal capital structure of your sample firms(e.g., Van bingsbergen,
Graham and Yang or other readings).
2. Empirically examine the determinants of capital structure.
3. Are the capital structures mean reverting to target
structure?(you may need to use partial adjustment model approach)
what can you say about the long term capital structure evolution
of your sample firms?
