(1) Friday evening is just the "nominal" schedule for this practical
training course. There is no lecture or meeting on every Friday evening.
We only have four meetings on four Monday mornings between 10:10~12:00 for
oral presentation. Then this course is done.
(2) Please make appointments with the Big 4 and see if October is OK for
them. I think 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26 would be good for presentation.
(3) The requirements for the oral presentation are as follows:
(a) Each student only has 5~8 minutes (because we only have 2 hours on
each Monday).
(b) The presentation should be given with Powerpoint.
(c) The presentation may include: the length of the in-house training,
the content of the training, clients (in what industries) audited,
type of audit work finished, fieldwork experience (if any),
interactions with teammembers and clients, difficulty encountered,
and overall conclusion.
(d) All senior accounting students (not just those who participated in
the training course) should attend these four presentations and ask
questions to the presenters (every students will be asked to sign-in
and sign-off in each presentation).
(4) The requirements for the written report are as follows:
(a) No more than 8 pages (excluding the cover page)
(b) Overview of the in-house training, brief introduction of clients (in
what industries), discussion of audit work finished (including
fieldwork experience, if any), interactions with team members and
clients, the most difficult problems during the auditing process, and
overall conclusion.
(c) The deadline of the report is November 2 (Monday) afternoon before
16:00.
