[外絮] Top five shot blockers in NBA Playoff history
Protecting the paint is one of the guiding principles of a winning
basketball team. During the playoffs, that principle becomes a
resounding mantra that can carry a team to a championship season.
油漆區保衛戰常是贏球的一項準則。尤其到了季後賽,這原則更是一個響亮的
口號,常常使一支球隊能一路破關斬將拿到NBA總冠軍
A shot-blocking defensive anchor can help that mantra grow into a
rising crescendo. With a big block, a shot blocker can energize
his teammates while also demoralizing the opposition.
一個火鍋常常是比賽的高潮。隨著一個大火鍋,既能夠使隊友被激勵,
也讓對手吃屎
The top five shot blockers in NBA playoff history have turned away
2,157 shot attempts. As a group, these men have 18 NBA Championships,
10 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Awards and have blocked the most
shots during the postseason 17 times. Each of the men on this list
has a regular season Most Valuable Player Award and four of them
were named Rookie of the Year. Four of them are members of the
50 Greatest Players in NBA History and three are in the
Basketball Hall of Fame.

Here is a list of the top five shot blockers in NBA playoff history
(as of April 1, 2011):
以下列出歷史上5大季後賽火鍋王
5. David Robinson (312 Playoff Blocks)
San Antonio Spurs (1989-2003)
After fulfilling his two-year commitment to the Navy, Robinson
quickly showed the NBA why the Spurs were willing to wait two years
for the number one overall selection of the 1987 NBA Draft.
"The Admiral" anchored San Antonio's defense and was unanimously
selected as Rookie of the Year in 1990. The two-time NBA Champion
(1999 and 2003) earned regular season Most Valuable Player honors in
1995. One year later, Robinson was selected as one of the 50 Greatest
Players in NBA History; and in 2009 he was inducted into the
Basketball Hall of Fame.
4. Tim Duncan (438 Playoff Blocks)
San Antonio Spurs (1997-Present)
Arguably the greatest power forward in NBA history, Duncan is a
three-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (1999, 2003 and 2005).
The four-time NBA Champion (1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007) has back-to-back
regular season Most Valuable Player Awards (2002 and 2003) and has
blocked the most shots during the postseason three times (1999, 2003
and 2007). "The Big Fundamental" was named Rookie of the Year in 1998
and will become eligible for the Basketball Hall of Fame five years
after he retires.
3. Shaquille O'Neal (459 Playoff Blocks)
Orlando Magic (1992-1996)
Los Angeles Lakers (1996-2004)
Miami Heat (2004-2007)
Phoenix Suns (2007-2009)
Cleveland Cavaliers (2009-2010)
Boston Celtics (2010-Present)
One of the most dominating and punishing forces to ever patrol the paint,
O'Neal has led the NBA in playoff blocks four times (2000, 2002, 2004 and
2006). In 2000, the four-time NBA Champion (2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006)
fell just one vote shy of becoming the first player unanimously selected
as a regular season Most Valuable Player. The 1993 Rookie of the Year
earned NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Awards in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
In 1996, O'Neal was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History
and will become eligible for the Basketball Hall of Fame five years
after he retires.
2. Hakeem Olajuwon (472 Playoff Blocks)
Houston Rockets (1984-2001)
Toronto Raptors (2001-2002)
Olajuwon used cat-like quickness and superior hand-eye coordination to
protect the paint. In 1994, he became the first foreign-born player to
win the regular season Most Valuable Player Award. He blocked the most
shots in the postseason five times (1986, 1987, 1993, 1994 and 1995)
and earned back-to-back NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Awards while
leading the Rockets to championships in both 1994 and 1995. Olajuwon
was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996
and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.
1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar formerly Lew Alcindor (476 Playoff Blocks)
Milwaukee Bucks (1969-1975)
Los Angeles Lakers (1975-1989)
Although blocks were not an official NBA statistic during his first
four trips to the playoffs, Abdul-Jabbar made it to the top of this
list through longevity and multiple NBA Finals appearances. The six-time
NBA Champion (1971, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988) won two NBA Finals
Most Valuable Player Awards (1971 and 1985) and led the NBA in playoff
blocks five times (1974, 1980, 1983, 1984 and 1988). The 1970 Rookie of
the Year won an NBA record six regular season Most Valuable Player Awards
(1971, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1977 and 1980). Abdul-Jabbar was inducted into
the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995 and was named one of the 50 Greatest
Players in NBA History in 1996.
Note: Blocks did not become an official NBA statistic until the
1973-1974 season.
直到1973-1974這季 火鍋封阻才正式成為NBA的一項數據
