Matt Barnes won an NBA Championship as a member of the 2017 Golden State
Warriors team. However, the now retired player doesn’t think he earned the
title.
Matt Barnes在2017年是勇士成員一員，一起拿下那年的冠軍。然而，這位已經退休的球員
不認為他值得拿那枚戒指。
In an appearance on he Pardon My Take Podcast, Barnes admitted that his
championship with the Dubs doesn’t really count, adding that it feels like
it was given to him.
在一個播客節目中，Barnes承認他與勇士拿下的那枚冠軍戒指不能作數，感覺那枚戒指就
是給了他的。
“To be honest with you, I really don’t count that championship,” Barnes
said. “Obviously through the process of my career and everything I
accomplished — I earned it. But I got hurt going into the playoffs and I’ve
never been given anything.”
「老實講，我真的沒把那枚戒指算進去，」Barnes說。「雖然從我的整個職業生涯以及我

“I felt like because I wasn’t out there on the court with my guys —
sweating and fighting — that it was given to me. I appreciate the
opportunity and the ring, but I don’t really ever refer to myself as a
champion or wear my ring.”

The Warriors signed Barnes in March 2017 as a replacement to Kevin Durant,
who went down with an MCL injury in the regular season. The 16-year veteran
started five of his 20 regular season games with the Dubs before going down
with various injuries as well. KD returned to the line-up in the playoffs,
which led to Barnes playing sparingly for the remainder of his stint with
Golden State.
勇士在2017年三月簽下Barnes，好去遞補當時因膝內側韌帶受傷的Kevin Durant。這打了
16年的老將，20場替勇士的出賽，5場先發，也因為各種傷勢沒法上場。KD在季後賽回歸之
後，讓Barnes之後替勇士出賽的時間也極少。
Barnes joined the Warriors to win a ring before calling it a career, but
getting hurt wasn’t in his plans and he does not want to be given credit for
something that he didn’t work hard for, intentionally or not.
在與勇士拿下冠軍後，Barnes宣布退休，但是受傷不是他想要的，他也不想拿到一個東西
不是他努力之後得來的。
Barnes announced his retirement from the NBA in December 2017.
