Since Kevin Durant decided to remind the world he's Kevin Durant, he's
hoisted the Golden State Warriors on his back and gone on a scoring tear
that's righted the ship for the defending champs.
自從KD提醒世人他可是KD，他就把勇士隊的未來扛在肩上，領導勇士繼續走在衛冕之路
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has noticed.
勇士隊教頭也注意到了。
"This is the best I've ever see him play," Kerr told reporters Thursday of
Durant. "I'm biased, but I think he's the best player in the league."
「這是我看過他最好的表現了。」Kerr說道。「我是偏心的，但我覺得他是聯盟最棒的球
員。」
Durant has averaged 38.3 points over his last six games since he drew
criticism during the Warriors' early struggles against the Los Angeles
Clippers in Round 1. He's scored no fewer than 29 points during that span and
has led the Warriors in scoring in each contest.

"This is where this s--t is fun; this is when it's serious, and I'm just
embracing it," Durant told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. "I'm just having so
much fun right now. This time of year is what I'm geared for. I'm just
hooping at a high level and enjoying the competitiveness of the playoffs. You
go through such a long season to get to this point, and now it's time to
produce."

With LeBron James missing the playoffs for the first time since his second
NBA season and failing to reach the Finals for the first time since 2010,
there is a vacuum in the "best player alive" discussion. LeBron had been so
dominant for so long that even in years where he didn't win the MVP, everyone
else was vying for second place.
自從LBJ第一次沒參與到季後賽、自2010年開始第一次沒打到總冠後，現役最佳球員的寶座
就空著。多年來，就算是沒拿到MVP的球季，LBJ還是最佳球員的首選，其他球員只能坐二
望一。
Durant has been the perpetual silver medalist—an athletic 7-footer who might
be the most gifted scorer basketball has ever seen. Despite winning two
straight Finals MVPs, he has not stopped being the subject of criticism since
he arrived in Golden State in 2016. The perpetual storyline with Durant has
been that he took a shortcut to championship glory, which is fair in a lot of
ways because his signing with a 73-win team was unprecedented.
長年來KD都屈居第二，他可能是有史以來最有天賦的得分手，自從到了勇士，就算得了兩
座FMVP，他還是大眾針鋒相對批評的對象。大家在意的點就是KD為了冠軍走捷徑，這樣的
批評很自然，因為他可是加入了史無前例的73勝勇。
Durant has also been the easy scapegoat, even in Golden State, with many
pointing to the team's struggles if Steph Curry is out of the lineup.
就算在勇士，KD也常常要當代罪羔羊，當咖哩不能上場時而球隊很掙扎時，他就要負責領
繩。
That said, Durant is reminding the world he's one of the 15 greatest players
to ever play basketball. It's unclear if he's actually the best he's ever been
—it's hard to not be partial to his 2013-14 MVP season—but there aren't
many (if any) players anyone would rather have at the moment.
這樣說吧，KD在提醒世人他是史上最棒的15名球員之一，但現在還不知道這樣的他是不是
他的極限。他曾在13球季得到了個MVP，這可是很少球員能有機會有這樣的一刻的。
