原文: Days after Rockets forward Trevor Ariza had a column posted in the Players Tribune supporting teammate James Harden for MVP, Harden shared how much he appreciated the sentiment. Ariza had praised Harden for being more than even his statistics could show. "To me, James Harden is like basketball's Picasso — he's an artist whose work you respect, even if you don't always understand its significance until later," Ariza wrote. Harden seemed moved not as much by Ariza making a case that Harden should win the MVP, but by the arguments in the column citing Harden's leadership and will to win. "Man, there's just certain people in life you'll always remember, whether they do something for you, whether there is certain instincts for anything that happens," Harden said. "He's one of those people. I'm happy to have him as a teammate, as a friend. "He showed me he wrote it. I read it. I felt it in my heart, honestly. It's one of the best things somebody's ever done for me. And I didn't even know. I didn't know he was going to write it. He just showed me." Ariza concluded in his column that there could be more to come from Harden in the postseason. "James is dead focused on winning," Ariza wrote. "Watch out for some unreal performances from him in the playoffs, too. I like to say that James is not just unbelievably consistent, which he is. But he's also consistently unbelievable, especially in big games." Harden was not about to argue. "He was on point," Harden said. "He broke it down, every scenario. It was well thought out. It was pretty dope." Thunder center Enes Kanter wrote a similar column on behalf of his teammate, Russell Westbrook. "I loved it," Westbrook said. "I appreciate it very, very much. I talked to him about it (Saturday).
