The Lakers' lead with 10:59 left in the game. However,everything fell apart for LA fron there,as the Blazers promptly went on a 17-3 run keyed by a trio of 3-pointers,which gave Portland an 89-76 lead.The Trail Blazers simply outshot the Lakers in the final period,going 12-for-23(52.2percent),while LA managed an 8-for-18 clip (44.4 percent). 12 Assists handed out by Ronnie Price,who set a new carrer high.The 10-year veteran reached a dozen assists for the first time in 461 carrer games,and he did it against his former team that he spent the 2012-13 season with. Price did most of his damage in the third quarter when he tallied five handouts. He also kept making the right passes,even if they didn't add to his carrer-high total,as he added four secondary assists. "He's just doing a good job of running the team."head coach Byron Scott said. "He had his hands full,obviously,tonight with Damian(Lillard)He is running our team,getting guys where they need to be and tough in the defensive end. That's what he has done ever since he has been in the lineup." 13 Points scored by Damian Lillard in the fourth quarter.The third-year pro doubled his scoring total in the final period alone to finish with 34 points on 13-for-23 shotting,which included 16 points in the paint and eight off fast breaks.Lillard crowd-igniting and-1 dunk. "We played really tough,then Damion kind of takes over."Scott said."He just made some greats shots.We tried to pressure him.We tried to trap him at times. He's just a heck of a player." 45 Rebounds grabbed by the Lakers.LA was able to control the glass against the leauge's top rebounding squad,as the home team enjoyed a two-rebound edge over the Blazers.
