[情報] 台積電16nm炸裂!驍龍820改成了三星14nm
心得:
沒想到這年頭連LinkedIn的Profile也可以有乳摸XD
雖然說作為乳摸也不一定楨的準確就是了
不過現在談10nm似乎還真的很久遠,不只下一代的處理器,
恐怕連下下一代都還看不到10nm製程的產品吧
而設計廠商也是這麼早就開始在著手相關的開發了
先看看像是S820或是謠傳的M1和麒麟950這些有甚麼突破之處吧

作為天字一號代工廠,台積電一直讓業內眾多巨頭唯其馬首之瞻,跟著他的工藝腳步走,
但這幾年卻複雜了很多。
20nm只是台積電的一個半代工藝,而且主要為蘋果A8服務,導致其他一大批客戶極為不滿
,NVIDIA、AMD兩大顯卡廠商根本就不用,高通旗艦驍龍810勉強用了,結果自己的設計也
不合理,最終過熱發燙一塌糊塗。
緊接著,三星14nm FinFET驚艷全世界,自家的Exynos 7420處理器更是風光無限,那一邊
台積電的全新工藝16nm FinFET卻進展遲緩。
痛定思痛,大量客戶紛紛轉而擁抱三星,其中就包括高通,驍龍820就交給了三星的14nm
工藝。
在高通公司某高官的LinkedIn檔案裡,赫然就提到了基於三星14nm LPP、10nm LPE工藝的
SoC處理器設計。
很顯然,驍龍820等高通芯片將採用三星14nm LPP工藝製造,末尾三個字母代表Low
Power Plus(低功耗增強版),Exynos 7420用的正是它(蘋果A9應該也是),另外還有一個
版本14nm LPE(低功耗早期版)。
三星下一代的10nm LPE工藝自然也進入了高通的規劃路線圖,不過應該得驍龍820的繼任
者才能用上了。
邪門的是,台積電16nm FinFET卻大有後發制人的逆轉氣勢,代工的蘋果A9遠比三星版更
為出色,已經掀起了軒然大波,業內人士也分析三星14nm工藝可能需要更高電壓才能保持
高頻率,從而導致功耗過高。
這下子,等不及台積電而急匆匆投奔三星的高通,又在想什麼呢?自己約的X,含著淚也
