1. The Heat enter their toughest stretch in the schedule but go
20-5 the rest of the way to set a franchise record for
regular-season victories with a 62-20 record. That would be a
one-game improvement over the 61-21 record set by the 1996-97 team
led by Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway.

2. Miami catches Boston and holds off Chicago for the No. 1 seed
in the East playoff race. Finishing atop the standings means more

advantage. Boston knows it can win on the road.

days to get acclimated for the playoffs.

be needed down the stretch.
