[外電] Dirk:Popovich is the best coach in NBA
Sure, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki is a rival of the San Antonio
Spurs, but that doesn’t mean he fails to appreciate their success, and head
coach.
Nowitzki praised longtime San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich Thursday on 103.3′
s Fitzsimmons & Durrett show [KESN-FM].
“I’m a huge Pop fan,” Nowitzki said. “He’s such a classy guy. I think he
’s the best coach in the league.”
He then revealed that Popovich passed along some kind words in 2011.
Nowitzki said the first note he received after the Mavericks won the title
came from Popovich. It said: “Congratulations, you deserve this moment.”
“That meant a lot to me,” Nowitzki said.
