in the Western Conference finals. Dallas probably would be favored in either
case.

Don’t tell that to Kobe Bryant. The Lakers star never bought into the
Mavericks image problems, so he doesn’t view them any differently than he
did before the series began.

＂I look at the same way I’ve always looked at them,” Bryant said. “They’
ve always been a tough team.

there is much they could have done about that. They lost to the better team
at the time. But they’ve won in tough environments before. They won in Game
7 in San Antonio [2006]. They’ve shown they can bounce back and win big
games.
