Random observations from the Mavericks' 113-97 blowout of New York

It was the Mavericks' sixth consecutive victory and their seventh in the last
eight games. They have now won five consecutive trips into Madison Square
Garden. Their record when scoring 100 points or more is now 23-1.
The Mavericks held the Knicks to 18 points in the second quarter, which was
critical in them getting ouit to a 56-52 halftime advantage.
They took that to the next level in the third quarter when Dirk Nowitzki and
Jason Kidd each hit 3-pointers during a 15-4 blitz to open up the period.
That 71-56 lead brought back memories of last season's 50-point Mavericks'
win at MSG.
The game had featured nine lead changes and eight ties in the first half. But
the Mavericks did not let up off the accelerator. They used another
3-pointer, this one by DeShawn Stevenson, to pump up the lead to 82-58 with
4:27 left in the third quarter. At that point, it was a matter of the
Mavericks naming the score.
J.J. Barea was inserted as a starter in the second half, and his play
triggered the 26-6 start to the third quarter that landed the Mavericks their
insurmountable lead, although the Knicks made it look quite surmountable for
a brief time later in the quarter, chopping the Mavericks' lead to 11 on a
couple occasions. But in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks' advantage held
solid throughout. Barea finished with 22 points, nine of them in the
third-quarter getaway.
Dirk Nowitzki had his best overall game since coming back from a knee sprain
with 29 points and 11 rebounds.
Amare Stoudemire had 21 points at halftime. He also had 21 points at the end
of the game.
The Mavericks punished the Knicks on the boards all the way, outrebounding
them 54-34 for the game.

尼克很快地在第三節將比數追近。J.J. Barea最終拿下22分，9分是在第三節拿下。
Dirk打出傷癒復出最棒的一場比賽，29分11籃板。
Amare Stoudemire總共得到21分，不過都是在上半場拿到的。
另外，Dirk上半場的13分，讓他得分來到22,000分， 月底之前應該可以超越 Clyde
Drexler 成為史上第23名。
