All you have to do to realize this is a different San Antonio team that will
be coming to AAC on Thursday night is look at the box score from Tuesday's
win against the Lakers.
In that game, Tim Duncan was 1-of-7 from the field, had just two points and
four rebounds and played almost 30 minutes.
And the Spurs won, going away.
This is not Duncan's team anymore. Oh, the Spurs can still lean on him
offensively from time to time. But this club is built around Manu Ginobili
and Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson, who has found a stride after
struggling in his first season with the Spurs.
In addition, DeJuan Blair picked up 17 points and 15 rebounds in the 97-82
win over Kobe Bryant's team.
You have to give credit to Gregg Popovich for the way the Spurs have
reinvented themselves. History says they are a defense-first team. And
judging from the Lakers' output on Tuesday, that can still be the case. But
the Spurs also average nearly 106 points per game, putting them in the top
five in the league. Popovich is usually ahead of the curve when it comes to
setting trends and not following them. His switch to a higher gear
offensively is commendable.
個人蠻認同這篇文章的，這已經不太是我們以前所認識的馬刺。
Tim Duncan上一場七投中一拿下兩分，可是還是大勝湖人，
馬刺今年有好幾場是Tim Duncan在第四節完全沒上場的情況下贏下來的，
這在小牛，很難想像司機如果有這樣的表現，小牛可以擊敗NBA哪個球隊？
兩年後，司機也34歲了，小牛還要靠他每場一定水準演出，
還是像Tim Duncan這樣半養生、而球隊戰績就能長紅呢？
身為一個小牛迷，兩年後的小牛會是呈現什麼樣貌，真的是非常耐人尋味。
真的很佩服Gregg Popovich的調度，比起往年更加保護今年34歲Tim Duncan的情況下，
今年還能打出全聯盟第一的戰績。
現在碰到馬刺，恐怕已經不是Tim DuncanＶＳ司機的戲碼了，
當然你不能否認掉Tim Duncan的重要性。
不管有沒有司機，小牛要挑戰的，應該是更全面的馬刺了。
比起以前，他們擁有更多的攻擊好手，
他們本季單場平均得分高達１０５.９分，
這跟過去近十年的標榜低得分、低失分的馬刺完全不同。
（就像今年小牛的失分也很不小牛阿！）
拿掉Tim Duncan，他們除了可以獨當一面的Manu Ginobili和Tony Parker，
還有Jefferson、Hill、Blair等人，
他們在Tim Duncan下場休息時，還能維持一定攻擊火力和防守火候。
在未來的一兩年，不管是在例行賽甚至是季後賽，
最要小心的恐怕是馬刺均衡的的戰力。
也許扯太遠了，但我多少會期待明年季後賽能再次在西區決賽碰面！
過去十年的季後賽，我們和馬刺交手了５次，
馬刺贏了其中三次（００－０１、０２－０３、０９－１０）
小牛則是在０５－０６、０８－０９擊敗馬刺。
我期待明年兩隊能再碰面，再分個高下，
我想馬刺ｖｓ小牛這系列，會是這十年來最令人值得回味、懷念的系列賽。
