在 Serre 的 a course in arithmetic 中第 16 頁說了一件事:
proposition 7.
令 U 為 group of p-adic units 而 U_n = 1+p^nZ_p (for each n).
則 U is a direct sum of U_1 and (F_p)*.
在證明上述結果之前作者還用到一個 lemma
我想問 是否可以直接去證明 the exact sequence
1 → U_1 → U → U/U_1 → 1 為 split 呢 ?
另外我想問 即使接觸 direct and inverse limits 有一段時間了
也看過幾個例子
可是仍舊不太能體會它們
遇到的時候也就是把 universal properties 拿來用一用
對它們的理解僅止於此
有沒有更自然的想法呢 ?
