Nolasco is two years away from free agency and was discussing a potential extension with the Marlins earlier this year before talks stalled. Nunez, the team's closer, is just one year away from free agency. He figures to earn $4MM or so in 2011 and Nolasco could earn $6-7MM. Nunez, 27, posted a 3.46 ERA with 9.8 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 in 65 innings last year.
