SEATTLE -- Adrian Beltre helped the Mariners tie it in the ninth inning,
and he ended it in the 11th with a two-run, walk-off homer to beat the Twins,
4-2, in front of 23,277 at Safeco Field on Monday night.

closer Joe Nathan, who entered the game with a 0.98 ERA.

Beltre greeted him with a double into the right-center field-gap. The next
hitter, Jose Lopez, hit a slow grounder to the left side. Beltre ran extremely
close to the ball on his way to third before letting it go by, and shortstop
Nick Punto dropped it for an error to put runners on the corners with no outs.

Nathan also blew a save against Seattle on Aug. 5.

Pinch-hitter Jeff Clement then grounded into a double play, scoring Beltre
from third to tie the game and send it into extra innings.
代打Clement接著打出了一支雙殺打，但Beltre從三壘跑回本壘而追平比數，使得比賽進
入延長。
The Twins had broken the 1-1 tie in the eighth on a two-out single from Delmon
Young.
雙城在第八局才藉由Young在兩出局後的安打突破1-1的僵局。
Minnesota got on the board first in the third inning, when Denard Span walked,
stole second and then scored on a hit by Alexi Casilla to right field. It was
the only run given up in six innings by Mariners starter Miguel Batista.
雙城在三局靠著Span被保送然後盜上二壘，接著Casilla擊出右外野的安打首先得分。
那也是水手先發Batista六局的投球中唯一失掉的一分。
The Mariners used an RBI double from Miguel Cairo in the fifth to score against
Twins starter Francisco Liriano.
在雙城強力先發Liriano手中，水手隊只靠著Cairo在第五局一支帶有打點的二壘安打而
得到一分。
Former Mariners reliever Eddie Guardado -- just acquired by the Twins on Monday
in a trade with Texas -- pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
來自水手的 RP Guardado，剛在禮拜一從遊騎兵交易到雙城，今天也在第八局送出一局
無失分的精采表現。
