On the next pitch, Neris hit Freese in the back with a 95 mph fastball. Neris在這場比賽登板時，被道奇隊新人Matt Beaty擊出三分全壘打。而他的下一球，就以時速95英里的快速球砸到了Freese背上。 Neris, who said hitting Freese was not intentional, was ejected. Phillies manager Gabe Kapler went out to argue Neris' case and got tossed as well.
