http://tinyurl.com/am7ebjw Nothing is coming of it, but at least the Mets haven’t called it an offseason: Jon Heyman reports that the Mets checked in with the Dbacks on Justin Upton and Jason Kubel. Heyman says there was no fit, however, with the asking price for Upton being too high and there being no real matchup for Kubel. For what it’s worth, other teams talking to the Dbacks about Upton have found that they’re asking the moon for him, so it’s not at all surprising.
