[新聞] Doumit agrees 2-year extension
The Twins have signed Ryan Doumit for a two-year contract extension that will
pay him $3.5 million a year in 2013 and 2014.
It's a good move for the Twins. Doumit is a versatile switch-hitter who makes
it easier for Joe Mauer to DH, play first base or get a day off. Doumit
enters tonight's game batting .271 with 7 homers and 32 RBI.
Signed as a free agent for $3 million before the season, Doumit had been with
the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he compiled a .271 average in 611 games.
