【工作內容】紅火蟻之社會生物學(Social biology)及線蟲之基因體大小的演化
(Genome size evolution)
執行研究計畫，以操作分生實驗，進行microinjection及genomics
相關實驗為主，包括基礎之DNA或RNA之操作、PCR、 genomic DNA
之萃取、cloning/subcloning、RNA之萃取，cDNA合成，qRT-PCR等，
有操作Southern/Northern blotting, screening libraries,
microsatellites, genomics, bioinformatics, fluorescence
imaging 或microinjection經驗者優先考慮對紅火蟻或線蟲研究
有經驗或興趣者為佳，認真負責，有學習熱誠，可獨立操作完成實驗。
協助實驗室內相關計畫及實驗室管理工作。

Research Assistant, molecular biologist
I am looking for 1-2 Research Assistants to join my laboratory at
the Biodiversity Research Center at Academia Sinica. My lab studies
two areas: social biology using ants and genome size evolution using
C. elegans.

Qualifications:
Masters degree.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and be familiar with
standard DNA and RNA manipulations, including PCR, genomic DNA extraction,
cloning/subcloning, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, and qRT-PCR. Experience
with Southern/Northern blotting, screening libraries, microsatellites,
genomics, bioinformatics, fluorescence imaging, and/or microinjections
desirable but not necessary. Interest in C. elegans or ants also a bonus.
Candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must be dependable, willing to learn, and can work independently.
Job summary:
Primary duty will be a research project adapted to previous experience.
Initial project will entail molecular biology, microinjections, and genomics.
Secondary duties include support for ongoing experiments and lab management.
