Pete Doherty Keen To Reform His Band The Libertines

London, England (CNS) - Pete Doherty is looking to reform The Libertines, it
has been reported. The Libertines' Pete Doherty and Carl Barat last reunited
onstage in London on September 17.
Doherty is reportedly trying to convince former band mate Carl Barat to reform
the group, who split in 2004. The two met at Barat's new band Dirty Pretty
Things in Paris in order to discuss working together again.
Earlier in July, it was reported that Carl Barat said The Libertines have
"unfinished business". He has since confirmed to BBC 6Music that he would be
interested in a reunion.
The Mirror reports that Barat will need assurances that Doherty is serious
about the reunion and then he would consider the option. Doherty is currently
recording a new solo album and recently worked on a track with reclusive
former La's frontman Lee Mavers.
The Libertines were an English indie rock band. Formed in London in 1997 by
frontmen Peter Doherty and Carl Barat. The band also included John Hassall
(bass) and Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career.
