There is no such thing as bad luck. Does that philosophy also mean that there is no such thing as good luck? Life happens, and we can't control everything. Just because you may have recently endured a series of bumps in the road does not mean that you have been unlucky. And when things improve very soon, that will not mean that you are getting luckier. Certain events and situations fall into our paths. Perhaps some of them are part of "the design," and they offer life-changing lessons. Where you take it from there is really what matters.
