You have probably heard that "you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," to which you may have replied "who wants flies anyway?" That's not a good attitude to take up right now, Leo. While you may not think you need to schmooze a certain person to get something you want, it certainly can't hurt to be polite, genial, kind, courteous, and thoughtful - even to someone who doesn't treat you that way. You can earn lots of good karma points now by being good to someone who may not deserve it.
