A very good story combined with a top notch cast produces a true film classic.
I was kept intrigued by the truly slimy, predatory antics of Anne Baxter and Ge
orge Sanders. That man was truly born to play the part of the smarmy, high soci
ety bad guy. Excellent entertainment value.
Other thoughts - Also very good in this movie were Bette Davis and Thelma Ritte
r as her usual wise cracking self. Some classic dialogue and the use of flashba
ck story telling technique combine to make this one of my favorite movies. The
ending is terrific
