在今天湖人與爵士比賽開始之前，湖人主帥菲爾-傑克遜被問到安德魯-拜納姆(Andrew
Bynum)進入NBA前幾年的成長過程，禪師表示，湖人隊2005年交易來了誇梅-布朗(Kwame
Brown)是非常關鍵的因素。
禪師稱湖人隊認為，讓其他中鋒在Bynum之前首發出場非常重要，湖人隊希望Brown能在
Bynum做好準備之前打出比較好的防守，而且讓Bynum在每天訓練時面對Brown的防守中學
習到一些東西。
「每天這樣的訓練真的對Andrew幫助很大。」禪師說道。
禪師還認為，一般情況下，一個中鋒要在NBA中獲得成長需要4、5年時間，而如果他們進
入NBA時只有19歲，那他們還需要一年時間。而Bynum進入NBA時還不到18歲。

Asked before the Lakers faced Utah and rookie power forward Derrick Favors
about Andrew Bynum’s development in his early NBA years, Phil Jackson cited
the Lakers’ acquisition of Kwame Brown as key to bringing Bynum along slowly.
Jackson said Tuesday the Lakers deemed it important to have someone to start
at center ahead of Bynum, who was drafted at 17 straight out of high school.
The Lakers looked to Brown to play good defense until Bynum was ready — and
for Bynum to learn from facing Brown’s defense in practice every day,
Jackson said.
“That process every day really helped Andrew,” Jackson said.
Jackson mentioned the idea that it takes the average big man four or five
years to develop in the NBA. And Jackson said if you come to the league at
19, it maybe take an extra year.
Favors doesn’t turn 20 until July.
Bynum is now 23, and he and Jackson have developed an interesting connection
after their rocky moments in the past. But Jackson said: “The communication
level of myself and 20-year-olds, there’s a gap. There really is.”
Asked about his children, Jackson said: “My kids are in their 30s.”
Jackson went on to cite Twitter and it’s 140-character messages as an
example of how society now “befuddles me.”
