Lakers Announce Coaching Staff

The Los Angeles Lakers have hired Frank Hamblen, Kurt Rambis and Brian Shaw
to serve as assistant coaches under head coach Phil Jackson, it was announced
today by Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak.

來做總教練Phil Jackson的助理教練。)
After serving as the team's head coach for the second half of last season
(41 games), Hamblen will return to an assistant's role for his seventh season
with the Lakers. Hamblen, who begins his 37th year of professional basketball
coaching, helped guide the team to three consecutive NBA Championships in 2000
,2001 and 2002. Prior to his role with the Lakers, Hamblen spent three seasons
as an assistant coach with the Chicago Bulls under Jackson where he helped the
team earn NBA Championships in 1997 and 1998.

Rambis, who served as an assistant coach on Jackson's staff for three seasons
(2002-2004), which included two trips to the NBA Finals (2002 and 2004) and
one NBA Championship (2002), continues his work on the Lakers' sideline after
being added to Hamblen's staff in February of 2005. Prior to joining Hamblen
and Jackson's staffs, Rambis worked in the team's front office in three
different capacities, that of Advisor and Assistant General Manager from
1999-2001 and as Vice President of Business and Basketball Integration for
half of the 2004-2005 season.

Previously serving as an assistant on Del Harris' staff for three seasons
(1994-1997), Rambis was named the Lakers' interim head coach 12 games into the
1998-99 season and after tying a then-NBA record with nine consecutive
victories to start his coaching career, led the team to a 24-13 mark and into
the Western Conference Finals. In addition, Rambis played during the Lakers
“Showtime” era and was a key component to the club's NBA title runs in 1982
, 1985, 1987 and 1988.
(原本在Del Harris底下作助理教練三個球季之後，Rambis在1998-99做湖人的代理教練12
場，並且平了當時菜鳥教練的九連勝NBA紀錄，接著帶球隊有24-13的成績並且最後進入
到西區總冠軍賽。此外，Rambis還曾經在湖人的Showtime時代作為主要的成員，拿到
1982、1985、1987跟1988的NBA總冠軍。)
Shaw, entering his seventh season with the organization, including two seasons
in a front office capacity, also will remain on the bench under Jackson after
joining the assistant coaching staff in February of last season. With 14 years
of NBA experience and three NBA Championships on his resume, Shaw, originally
selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 1988 NBA Draft (24th
overall), joined the Lakers prior to the 1999-2000 season and played a major
role in the team's three consecutive title runs from 2000-2002.
(Shaw則是他的第七個年頭在組織階層工作，包括兩個球季的管理部門。在上個球季二月
加入助理教練團之後，也將繼續在板凳上為Jackson效力。Shaw有14個球季的NBA歷練跟
3個總冠軍，他原本是在1988年被波士頓以第一輪的第24個順位選到，不過在1999-2000
的球季加入湖人並且作為2000-2002年時三連霸時的重要角色。)
After announcing his retirement on September 24, 2003 after having played in
943 regular season and 127 playoff games, Shaw remained with the organization
as Assistant Director of Scouting and a Summer Pro League coach before joining
the team's coaching staff last season.
(Shaw總共打了943場季賽跟127場季後賽，而在2003年9月23號宣布退休之後，繼續在湖人
隊做球探跟夏季聯盟的教練，接著在上個球季就加入球隊的教練團。)
